11:00     Session 3       What is the Safe System approach to road safety in Australia?

Dr Lori Mooren, Fellow, Australasian College of Road Safety (15 minutes)

11:15     Session 4       What basic and generic points emerge that we want to communicate to those in the field of road safety from considering the circumstances of the deaths in 2015 and 2016 on Kyogle Road? (15 minutes brainstorm)

11:30     Session 5       What specific things must we have in place IN THE GOVERNMENT AT ALL LEVELS to ensure:

(1) appropriate responses when serious injury or fatal crashes occur;

(2) that all agencies and levels of government share a supportive attitude; and

(3) that they work together and coordinate effectively? (20 minutes)

11:50    Session 6        The communiqué from this workshop:

What is our message to the government from this workshop: how should road safety and road deaths be handled in the future in Tweed Shire? (20 minutes)
